Use ten similar untreated bean seeds, two labelled clear containers, paper towel, water, and a ruler. Put five seeds on damp towel in A and five on dry towel in B. Keep location and temperature equal; A stays damp, not submerged. B stays dry.
Do not eat seeds; wash hands afterward. An adult should discard mouldy material without opening it near faces.
Count a seed as germinated when a visible root emerges. Use that definition consistently.

Compare day-seven counts. Five seeds per group is a small sample; viability, temperature, and oxygen also matter. Repeat before making a strong claim.
📝 Keep the final comparison
Save one observation per container daily. Compare each group’s day-seven count; do not sum daily counts of the same seeds. Identify corrections by day and container.
