Pro-Tip: The 80% Rule

  • Masculine: Endings like -age, -ment, -eau, -isme, -al.
  • Feminine: Endings like -tion, -ette, -ance, -ité, -ie.
  • Watch out:-e is not a guarantee of feminine gender, but -tion almost always is.
